Studio M+ is a New York-based boutique design collective founded in 2010 by urban designer and Pratt Institute faculty Alihan Polat. We provide innovative designs for buildings, urban plans, and product and corporate marketing. In 2014, our mission expanded to include professional event management services for creative projects and collaborations that otherwise do not have a home.

Alihan, a graduate of Pratt Institute, is an urban designer-planner and landscape architect. He is an expert in Planning, Design and Environmental Analysis with technical computer design and simulation skills including ArcGIS, Trimble Sketch Up, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Ecotect and Adobe Creative Suite. His projects predominantly involve works in a wide range of urban design & planning, creating custom analyses and solutions. Alihan also specializes in the integration of queriable 3-D smart city models and layouts of web-based, interactive 3-D walkthroughs built on platforms such as Google Earth and other online mapping platforms. He teaches GIS and Mapping at Pratt Institute and CUNY CityTech, where he assists the Architectural Technology Department with GIS based curricula and programs. Dee is an experienced events planner of 6+ years in event management where she has executed over 100 unique events in music, film, photography, design, fashion, education, and business. Since 2014, she works as Director of Public Relations for Raison Pure NYC- an award-winning international design agency. Over the years, Dee has demonstrated a natural knack for curating and executing public programs, fundraising, managing staff, and promoting events. Equally valuable, she enjoys nurturing partnerships and collaborative relationships with sponsors, vendors, event participants, and volunteers to ensure events’ success from start to finish. Before her event planning career began, Dee served as a part-time instructor at Indiana University and a home-based catering and cheesecake business owner. Native of Turkey, and raised partially in Russia and the U.S., Dee thrives in multi-cultural environments and speaks a number of languages. Deniz is an illustrator/graphic designer based in Brooklyn. She loves colors, fluidity in art, organic shapes, geometric patterns as well as contemporary art, simple&clever designs and hand typography. After receiving her BFA in Illustration from Parsons, she worked with several artists and designers such as Dana Sherwood, Mark Pernice, Mark Dion, Annie Olean Bukhman and Jenny Marketou. She had the opportunity to experiment with different mediums and styles, including printmaking, illustrating for products, advertising and branding.
